Domed Bird Cage

The New York Botanical Garden in association with Barreveld International, a leader in distinctive designs for the home, has developed a superb collection of decorative accessories inspired by period drawings in the Rare Book Collections of the Mertz Library here at the Garden.

Made of iron with a rustic verdigris finish, this domed bird cage has the elegance of a Victorian conservatory. Although it can be used as a real cage, we like it purely as a decorative touch on the porch. Opens from the top as well as the front, and measures 20¾” H x 14” W x 9¾” D.
